Checked Off Bucket List: Swim in the Fantasy Island Waterfall

Never Thought I'd See the Fantasy Island Waterfall, Much less swim and take a bath under its water, I watched the Fantasy Island TV Series during my childhood and that first opening scene of the waterfalls taken from an helicopter was breathtaking. I always dreamed of going there. And, there, there... I've made it!

The access is not as easy as it may seem, so you have to hike and go through a dense forest. But it's so worth the ride. Wailua Falls have two great and rich falls into two streams and a smaller cascade right in the middle. I went there in May, so it was not so thick. And standing right down the cascades feels so good... I coukldn't stay too long, it's a strong stream and the currents almost took me to the other side... But what an experience! Once in a lifetime adventure.

Bondi Beach and its Pools: Checked!

Bondi is an aborigenal word and it means water breaking over rocks or noise of water breaking over the rocks and it's all on the rocks. I knew about its pool back on 2003 when my swimming coach told me about it, that he had done it and that I had to try it at least once in my life to go swim in that pool. So here I am checking it out and off of my list of things to do before I die. Bondi!!
There is an under water net to keep sharks away from both the swimmer and the surfers who suffer attacks anyway. One surfer suffered severe injuries and had his hand taken from a bite of a shark two days before I went back there. I wouldn't risk my life to go surfing but swimming in the pool is pretty safe. No sharks can swim that hard, or that high to jump inside the pool. At least that was recorded until today.

Checked Off My Bucket List: The Twelve Apostles

This blog has been sitting down and has been grounded for too long. So I have decided to make a bucket list of the things I have already done in my life and leave some room for what´s the next. It´s about time that I would have it a go and do a makeover, to lift up the spirits and fly high. So here I am posting again and with a new look. Going back is good but it´s way better to move forward. Looking forward to what I´ve been preparing. Anyway, here are some of the items already checked from my list:

The Twelve Apostles from my trip to Australia, if you notice the image in the header of this blog you will see that there were still the initial nineth rock formation (BTW one of the most beautiful of them all).
Those are rocks, or a collection of limestone stacks distributed in a magnificent way around the shore with an incredible viewpoint from the Great Ocean Road. I took plenty of pictures but as my British friend Jon Vaughan said, "It´s a waste taking pictures for they all look the same as the other tourists took in the end." That´s so true! But pics with me on it only I could take; so I saved a selfie. I´m sure no one has took this photo, hehe.

To Be Continued (with many more to come...)
